        Did you know that your breakfast cereal is making you fat

Breakfast  is one the most important meals of the day. And many dieters often miss breakfast or they choose a cereal that is not nutritional correct for weight loss. Many super market cereals are over processed and contain little fiber and lack the nutrition your body needs. To aid loss weight your first choice for breakfast should be a breakfast that contains at least 25 grams of protein, 5 grams of fibre and no more then 15 grams of carbs. This is the correct balance your body needs to burn fat and help control sugar cravings. All it takes is a little planning and you can great breakfast like pancakes and jam.    

   CHEESECAKE PANCAKES

Makes 8 pancakes

large eggs, separated

8 oz.

(227 g)

cream cheese, at room temperature

1½ tsp.

(7.5 ml)

 Splenda

½ tsp.

(2.5 ml)

ground cinnamon

 

Pinch of salt

2 Tbsp.

(30 ml)

flaxseed meal

 

Unsalted butter

spacerPlace the egg whites in a medium bowl and beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.

spacerPlace the cream cheese in a large bowl and beat with the mixer until smooth. Beat in the egg yolks and then the sweetener, cinnamon, salt, and flaxseed meal. Fold in the egg whites.

spacerHeat a  large frying pan over medium-low heat. Grease lightly with the butter. Form pancakes using a ¼ cup (60 ml) of the batter for each pancake. Cook until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
